In Chicago. Alive. 7 minutes left on this computer at the Public Libary. Hostel is nice and is on one of the two all-night subway lines, so that's one less source of concern (right near Loyola's Lake View campus).
It's been a lot of fun. I'm still having trouble grasping the scale of the city, as well as re-orienting my internal compass once I get off the subways. The Grid system is awsome, and I feel that NYC dropped the ball by failing to have one as strictly adhered to.
All in all, I like Chicago, and I hope to have some "real Chicago deep-dish" pizza soon.
We've been seeing awesome museums and having tasty food (for every meal except the tiny breakfasts [but at least those are free]).
<30 seconds in my free computer time here. Gotta go, wish all well!
